 The property fronts on serene Big Bayou Black, and the home is surrounded by four acres of beautiful old oak trees. Whether you are longing for a romantic escape or just hoping for a peaceful get away, Grand Bayou Noir is the perfect place to stay.
Built in 1936, Grand Bayou Noir has all oak floors and ceiling fans in every room. The home boasts both formal living and dining rooms with a fireplace and piano.

All bedrooms have queen sized beds with private baths. Most baths have bidets. Our suite has a private balcony, sitting room, private entrance and is handicapped accessible.

Note: We have made some concessions to the 21st Century including air conditioning, modern plumbing and yes, even televisions in each room.

Stroll the grounds. Pick an orange or a vegetable and check out the chickens and ducks. Take a nap on one the swings, benches, rocking chairs or hammocks scattered about the grounds.

Enjoy the view from the large screen porch or one of the balconies. Walk to the bank and paddle your pirogue down the bayou, but watch out for the alligators!
